United Kingdom The Wild Geese - March 12th - Pre-order

The Wild Geese Blu-ray

One Last Pay Day... One More Chance To Die!

Legendary hell-raisers Richard Burton and Richard Harris, along with a coolly detached Roger Moore are aging mercenaries with a taste for fine liquor, drawn together for a late but extremely lucrative pay day in The Wild Geese, an African adventure soaked in booze, gunfire and bloodshed.

Colonel Allen Faulkner (Burton) is secretly back in London to accept the task of reinstating an African leader deposed in a violent military coup, but without the combat skills of his two old friends, there isn’t going to be a mission. With his two reliable loose cannons in place, Faulkner and the team enact a text book rescue operation but disaster is close at hand when the cynical multinational who set up the whole deal turns the tables, striking a new deal with the local despot which sees The Wild Geese trying to escape with their lives intact.

The Wild Geese are ready for one last mission so finish your drinks and relive this classic old school British action adventure today.

I have the German BD, which isn't too bad, except the last 7-8 minutes looks like VHS. I'll buy AFTER I see a review.

Massively excited about this. Didn't expect it to come from Arrow considering the kinds of Blu-rays they've released over the last couple of years, but at least it should definitely come in a good package. This is getting pre-ordered.

HELL YES!

Roger Moore is always welcome in my collection!

[Show spoiler]This better be region free or I'll be sending some not so nice letters to the people at Arrow.

I'd like to preorder both this and Who Dares Wins. Apart from the high price on Arrow website, Anyone know where else these can be prebooked?? Cannot find either on HMV or PLAY or Amazon.

Thanks

This has been a favorite & guilty pleasure for years, we used to joke about it at work ("sorry, I can't do this job without...Shawn Finn"). The DVD looks OK, but it's so soft, so hoping for much better things from the Blu-ray.

Could be wrong, but Arrow changed this and Who Dares Wins from a limited release to standard? Losing the 4 cover and slip.

But, the extras include a second full movie on each WG and WDW. I think Wild Geese 2 is the extra on Wild Geese. ... Think.

Yeah they did that quite a while ago when they announced the slipcover editions would be saved for very limited releases.

The second disc is a DVD copy of the film.
