India/Bollywood Chandramukhi - Blu-Ray

Chandramukhi Blu-ray coming soon from AP International.

Currently under going replication, and soon to be released by July 2012.

The film has been scanned at 2k and restored frame by frame - while keeping the original film grain intact.

The film will only contain original Tamil DTS-MA HD 5.1

We do not have the dubbed Telugu rights.

The blu-ray will have new and improved English subtitles done by Rekhs.
So you can enjoy the original language version, and hear Rajini voice

Not sure if Indian is being done. The 35mm negatives and interpostives are damaged for life.

At present restoration for Jeans and Kandukodian are on the cards.

If Chandramukhi blu-ray sales are good...we could also be looking at the restoration and HD release of Ghilli, Kaaka Kaaka, Boys and even a Mani Ratnam film....

If possible we'll use Rekhs for subtitling them also....depending on her schedule...

I don't know about the others but Jeans and Boys are amongst the most tasteless films ever made. Is their popularity so great that they deserve the HD treatment?

All S. Shankar movies deserve to be on Bluray. I used to watch Boys over and over again, one of the first Indian movies to use bullet time special effects.

Indian will be the next restored blu-ray release... was confusing it for another film.

This will be followed by Jeans and Ghilli.

Jeans and Boys are in the top 5 highest grossing Tamil DVD sales of all time. I guess there is a demand for both films. My guess....the score and soundtrack keeps the films popular.

Would love to have "Kaakha Kaakha" on blu-ray - it is the THE film which did for the Tamilnadu police the kind of image makeover that Top Gun did for the USAF. Boys and Jeans are great buys for the songs alone, as somebody else had mentioned. Mani's films? - Hope that someone will be kind enough to release Roja, Thalapathi, Alaipayuthey, etc. on blu-ray..One can always dream and hope, right?

If Ayngaran includes Play All Songs option for these two blu-rays, I will get it.

I'd love to get a Songs of Shankar Blu-Ray, like Ayngaran released on DVD years ago. I've watched that DVD way more than I have rewatched the films themselves. Too bad about Indian's negatives, and unfortunately Anniyan is an Oscar Ravichandran film.

What about Mudhalvan?
