Chandramukhi Blu-ray coming soon from AP International.
Currently under going replication, and soon to be released by July 2012. The film has been scanned at 2k and restored frame by frame - while keeping the original film grain intact.

At present restoration for Jeans and Kandukodian are on the cards. If Chandramukhi blu-ray sales are good...we could also be looking at the restoration and HD release of Ghilli, Kaaka Kaaka, Boys and even a Mani Ratnam film.... If possible we'll use Rekhs for subtitling them also....depending on her schedule... Last edited by Shahran Sunny Audit; 06-24-2012 at 01:34 PM. |

All S. Shankar movies deserve to be on Bluray. I used to watch Boys over and over again, one of the first Indian movies to use bullet time special effects. |

Jeans and Boys are in the top 5 highest grossing Tamil DVD sales of all time. I guess there is a demand for both films. My guess....the score and soundtrack keeps the films popular.

I'd love to get a Songs of Shankar Blu-Ray, like Ayngaran released on DVD years ago. I've watched that DVD way more than I have rewatched the films themselves. Too bad about Indian's negatives, and unfortunately Anniyan is an Oscar Ravichandran film.
What about Mudhalvan? |
