Default Favorite alien(s) come to earth BDs in your collection

Everyone loves a good alien movie or TV show (okay, maybe not everyone but close enough). What are your favorite BDs in your collection about aliens coming to Earth.

Here are my top five in order:

1. Doctor Who
2. Superman (1978)
3. Close Encounters of the Third Kind
4. Battleship
5. Independence Day

Only Close Encounters really nails it, IMO. Why? Because its the only one that seems to feel realistic as in "thats how it would be if a disrtant race came to visit us". Most films have the same theme. Usually they come here to fight us or my favorite is when they threaten to kill us if we dont stop killing each other. Its like...Oh.... OK then???? Thats what ruined The Abyss, IMO.

Or, they are here because of their dying planet and it just so happens that we have exactly what they need to survive. Another unlikely scenario. But, IN CEOT3K, they come here just to say Hello and see what we are about. They are advanced enough to not have to come here and fight or take all of our young women for enslavement or whatever. They just make a quick stop here, bring a few people on board, and then send them back home - unharmed.

Its the only Alien film that approchaes the subject with some level of thought instead of the premise being to simply being able to show a bunchof explosions and fighting with some aggressive alien race. Thats just so overdone and lame.

Edit, no it's not like CEOT3K at all, but I like The Man Who Fell To Earth.

I'm going with two remakes: The Thing '82 and Body Snatchers '78.

I don't care for cuddly aliens.

Predator and The Thing (1982) take the cake for sure.

Good Lord...

When I first saw this thread, I thought to myself that I've only got a couple of "alien coming to Earth" Blu-rays, but a closer look at my collection shows...

20 Million Miles to Earth
The Blob
The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)
The Last Starfighter
Predator
The Thing (1982)
The Thing (2011)
War of the Worlds (2005)

They're all pretty much tied for my favorite, because I love revisiting each and every one of them. I'd probably give the slight edge to the two Invasion of the Body Snatchers films, but I dunno. Ymir from 20 Million Miles to Earth is one cool dude.

This does not even include my collection of Planet of the Apes movies that twist and turn in an out of themselves in the sense that humans are the aliens who visit Earth in the future, then apes are the aliens who travel back to present Earth in one of the human spaceships and put the events into motion that lead to the future Earth visited by humans.

I'm lacking terribly for this category. I think the only one in my collection is Close Encounters..

I do plan on getting the following one day though:

Independence Day (my fav. alien-related movie)
War of the Worlds
The Thing (1982)

Oh yeah, forgot to count that one. It's such a fun movie, it has a lot of replay value.

I have:

Battle: Los Angeles
District 9
Independence Day
Close Encounters
Super 8
Cloverfield

On the radar:

War of the Worlds (the remake is great and a bit disturbing, but wish they would release the original)
The Day the Earth Stood Still (not the remake - have the DVD, but want the blu, too)

Wish they would release on blu and puzzled why it hasn't yet):

Taken (the TV series)

I had just posted the same desire on the wishlist thread. Aug 26 is the 60th anniversary so it would be an idea time for a BD release.
