The Ant Bully (2006) [No 3D Blu-ray]

why hasn't it had a 3D Blu-ray release it was Released in IMAX 3D the same year as Open Season.

Nobody knows why. Its initial release was before the era of 3D Blu-Ray and the studio may have just not seen decent sales to warrent a 3D BD release yet?

This movie caught my interest as its title/cover reminded me of the classic Antz from PDI, the team that does the Dreamworks Features. I didn't know it was also made in 3D.

I think the availability in 3D depends probably on the same reason we still haven't seen Beowulf 3D on blu ray 3D yet.

How was this movie by the way? I was going to buy it on blu ray when the price dropped but forgot about it years ago.

i see this as an opportunity for Warner to Update the audio For the 3D Blu-Ray version from Dolby digital to Dolby TrueHD 7.1

this title screams blu ray 3d so much, i wanna see how the 3d look, but still no blu ray 3d version out, this movie needs a blu ray 3d release.

It was a flop theatrically. It grossed $55 million worldwide, against a $50 million budget. I don't know if it's developed a following since then on home video.

i don't care, but a blu ray 3d release is overdue, plus the 3d was well received it was release theatrically in IMAX 3D, i don't wanna hold to my dvd any longer, plus the blu ray encode was VC-1 and it has a lossy audio track, i wanna see a blu ray 3d version with a lossless audio track and a encode for the 2d version as well, and i'm not gonna rest til there is a blu ray 3d version.

i really hope so, like i said the 3d was well received when it was released theatrically in IMAX 3D.

Unfortunately there are only two way this movie gets a 3d bluray. The first way is if it gets released internationally in one of the countries where they love 3d such as Germany or China. The other way is if a petition is made andgets enough signatures that Warner brothers considers releasing it on 3d bluray.

i never saw that short, i want to see that as a bonus on the blu ray 3d version of the ant bully, but i don't know if that might happen, probably not.

yeah, we got snubed on the blu ray edition, instead of a dolby truehd lossless audio track, we get lossy dolby digital track, the lossless audio track needs to be included on the blu ray 3d version.
