Well hi there, fellow James Stewart fans.
![]() I thought it would be nice to create this thread to help keep track of all the James Stewart releases on Blu-ray of the past and those coming in the future. I hope fans will find it helpful and informative. Feel free to also use this thread to discuss and compare the current releases of his movies and let us know if you find out there's a new movie being released in the near future, to help keep the list below up to date. If there's no flag next to the title of the movie, it means it has been released in America and possibly other countries as well around the world. If there is a flag next to it, it has been released in that country and perhaps a few other ones, but not in America. At the moment, the following Jimmy Stewart movies (that I am aware of) has been released in and/or outside of North America on Blu-ray: You Can't Take It With You (1938) - Scheduled for release on December 8th ![]() Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939) ![]() Review ![]() ![]() The Memphis Belle: A Story of a Flying Fortress (1944) ![]() Review It's a Wonderful Life (1946) ![]() Review Magic Town (1947) ![]() Review Rope (1948) ![]() Review ![]() ![]() Harvey (1950) ![]() Review ![]() ![]() Rear Window (1954) ![]() Review The Man From Laramie (1955) ![]() Review The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) ![]() Review Vertigo (1958) ![]() Review Bell, Book and Candle (1958) ![]() Review Anatomy of a Murder (1959) ![]() Review Two Rode Together (1961) ![]() Review ![]() ![]() Review Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation (1962) ![]() Review How the West Was Won (1962) ![]() Review ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Review ![]() ![]() List last updated on August 5th, 2015 Last edited by Scottie; 03-08-2017 at 02:40 AM. |

Would love to see The Shootist on Blu-Ray. James Stewart and John Wayne is a great pair, and it was Wayne's last movie if I remember correctly.
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington would be great too. Last edited by BaerGriggs; 10-15-2013 at 03:04 AM. |

I'd like The Shootist as well, but this always sat more like a John Wayne film with me. I'd buy it for sure, but I'll wait for an eventual U.S. release.

Yeah Wayne is definitely the star, but still enjoyed seeing Stewart in it. He wasn't in many movies after that anyway.

There's a nice HD stream of Spirit of St. Louis on Warner's Instant Archive, so it seems a BD could be easily made.
