Amazing Spider-Man 3-D Blu-Ray Redemption Question - Blu-ray Forum

Hello.

Hoping someone can give me a head's up on something.

Does the UV code from Amazing Spider-Man 3D Blu-Ray redeem the 3D version of the movie on VUDU?

I already have the standard, 2D version in HDX but I'd like to have the option of having it in 3D as well if possible.

Any info would be appreciated.

It should (it did for me) but others have had problems. If it does not redeem in 3d put a ticket in to Vudu and they should hopefully be able to help you. They helped me when my Men In Black III redeemed in 2d instead of 3d.

If I recall correctly, it did when the title was first released, but shortly thereafter it started redeeming in 2D only. Pretty much all UV codes from 3D Blu-rays redeem in 2D on Vudu. There have been a few exceptions, but not many.

How was that, everyone said it was never released (MIB3) in Vudu in 3D????

That's what I thought to. I mentioned it on the Vudu boards and one of the mods (DanielH) contacted me by PM with a new code to redeem in 3d. It worked so I have it in 3D now. I don't think it was ever for sale in 3d on Vudu.

I redeemed the code, gave me another on in 2D but under the saved promotions in the account tab it showed the 3D version.

So, I hit up VUDU, sent them an image of the UV slip and today they gave me a new code which redeemed the 3D version.

A little bit of a hassle to get it working but the bottom line is that it will if you try.

I had the same thing happen to me today. Redeemed a code from MIB 3d on vudu and got 2d hdx. I opened a ticket with them and within a couple of hours they sent me a code which redeemed in 3d.

Same thing happened when I redeemed Spiderman 3d code a few months back.

The only movie that gave me 3D is Hotel Transylvania.

I guess I ought to ask for some like Spiderman and MIB but ... I never watch my Vudu anyways... I just like to share them... I have other people on my Vudu ... and none of them own a 3DTV anyhow (yet anyway).
