Good afternoon members... My, you look like a picture this afternoon.
![]() Having made threads like this for James Stewart and Charles Bronson before, I decided it was time to make one for another favorite of mine - Gregory Peck. The purpose of this thread is to give a quick yet informative overview of all the Gregory Peck movies released on Blu-ray of the past and those coming our way in the future. As always, feel free to also use this thread to discuss and compare the current releases of his movies and let us know if you find out there's a new movie being released in the near future, to help keep the list below up to date. Here's the deal: If there's no flag next to the title of the movie, it means it has been released in America and possibly other countries as well around the world. If there is a flag next to it, it has been released in that country and perhaps a few other ones, but not in America. At the moment, the following Gregory Peck movies (that I am aware of) has been released in and/or outside of North America on Blu-ray: Spellbound (1944) ![]() Review Gentleman's Agreement (1947) ![]() Review ![]() ![]() Twelve O'Clock High (1949) ![]() Review Only the Valiant (1951) ![]() Review ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Big Country (1958) ![]() Review ![]() ![]() Beloved Infidel (1959) ![]() Review On the Beach (1959) ![]() Review The Guns of Navarone (1961) ![]() Review To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) ![]() Review How the West Was Won (1962) ![]() Review Cape Fear (1962) ![]() Review The Omen (1976) ![]() Review ![]() ![]() Review ![]() ![]() Cape Fear (1991) ![]() Review Keep coming back for updates! ![]() List last updated on December 1st, 2014 Last edited by Hard Times Chaney; 12-01-2014 at 03:03 PM. |

I have 3 on the list Mockingbird, Omen, and Gentleman's Agreement (just got the last one in latest haul and haven't watched it). I definitely want Boys from Brazil out of the released list, but my all time favorite Peck movie, and one of my top 3 movies is Moby Dick 1956. I hope I don't have to wait 2 more years for a 60th anniversary.

A great actor and a great man. One of those larger-than-life personalities who captivated whenever he was on the screen and who represented a Hollywood zeitgeist that has, as was so vividly demonstrated at the last Oscars presentation, sadly passed into memory. Some very interesting biographical and trivia tid-bits on the Imdb site, including the telling facts that after Ava Garder's death (his co-star in On The Beach ) he took in both her housekeeper and her dog, and that he remained friends with both Brock Peters and Mary Badham, who played Tom Robinson and Scout, respectively, in To Kill a Mockingbird, and that Peters delivered the eulogy upon his death in 1993. Wonderful anecdote about a meeting with Pope John Paul II at the White House in 1978.
Have been a huge fan of Mr. Pecks for decades but didn't realize to what extent he was actively involved in liberal and humanitarian pursuits, I guess because he found quiet, determined persuasion more effective than proselytizing, grandstanding, and self-aggrandizement. Continuing to wait patiently for a quality release of Roman Holiday and On The Beach, my favorite Peck roles after 'Mockingbird'. And The Stalking Moon, but that might be pushing my luck. |

Pork Chop Hill announced by Olive Films!
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Pork-...lu-ray/120155/ Will probably be a better transfer than the current ones, hopefully with some extras too. |
