While I can't say I loved this show, I'm sure I'll get it at some point to have a complete Marvel Cinematic Universe collection.

I'm still sort of torn whether or not to spend money on this. I feel like I got burned after watching the first six or seven episodes and gave up on it after that. My friends who kept with it, along with the press, are now saying it finally got good after The Winter Soldier. 'bout time! But now as a BD collector and long-time comic book fan, I'm asking myself if it's worth it just to watch six or seven episodes and ignore what came before. This is the kind of release that'll warrant store-exclusive variants, so if one of those piques my interest enough, that plus a good sale price will likely tip me over. Otherwise, I'll wait or just pass, save my money and watch those eps some other way.

Glad this is announced for Blu-ray. It's an excellent series, IMO, but then again I only saw a few episodes. I fell behind and want to see the whole season.

yeah I'm on the fence about adding this as well. Sure it has some loose tie in's to the cinematic stories and most certainly follows the events of Winter Soldier but at the end of the day it's not all that important to me anyway if it makes it home or not. A lot will depend on the price and how well season two does when it comes back on in the fall. However I am looking forward to the Agent Carter series that will be on as well.

It got better as it went along, and that's the best I can say for it. I'm sure I'll pick this up when it's on sale or something. The "Tahiti Project", Deathlok, and Bill Paxton were the best things about this season. The last 6, or so episodes kicked into gear and didn't slow down.

The show really got better right when captain America the winter soldier came out. I can't wait for season 2.

Day 1 purchase for me!
This show was great from the first episode and kept getting better.

The reason people hate this show is because They thought it would be Avengers-Lite!
I knew it would be SHIELD Agents and nothing but, so I knew not to expect the Heavy Hitters.

Yeah, whole seasons on bluray really should be cheaper than a new release bluray movie.

I watched the show from the first episode and enjoyed it, but there's no doubt it really got going after the event of The Winter Soldier. Still, I'd recommend people who might have given up on it to give it another watch, since the season as a whole was quite good.

Without getting spoilery, the early episode's exposition was very much needed for the post-Winter Soldier episodes to have as much impact as they did.

I quit this show. I even bashed it on forums. Then upon the rabid insistence of friends, I caught up last week. It gets good. It gets really good. I might actually buy this.

Most TV seasons on Blu hit the $19.99 price point eventually (HBO shows excepted).

A lot of people are saying two things about the show. And both are absolutely true. I'm not disputing them.

1. The show started pretty bad
2. The show was really exciting after Winter Soldier.

A few have asked if the season is worth it for a couple of episodes. It' a fair question. I think those two facts alone don't paint a full picture.

It's easy to read the above as, "The show started pretty bad, stayed bad and then suddenly got good at the very end." That's not really how it played out. It wasn't a night and day change at the final hour.

The show started very bad for about 6 episode, but then it started to improv rapidly. It wasn't an instant turnaround, but it got better and better until it had that final push of Winter Soldier to make the final act really exciting. But that middle area. The ten episodes in the middle of the season were pretty decent. Not as good as the end, but not as bad as the beginning.

Yeah, I don't have the money to buy this at the likely release day price.

I'll be waiting for black Friday for several items.

Half of the time it seems like you don't even think before you post these smartass remarks. Yes, the season will eventually be $19.99. It happens all the time. Welcome to Blu-ray.com, where most of us look for bargains because we buy a shitload of BDs.
