Default Can sun beams through a window shade harm Blus?

The shelf that holds all my movies is near a window. There are blinds on that window, but sunlight manages to peer in through the cracks. Could this be harmful to my movies? Here is a pic of what I'm talking about:

Well, if The Simpsons Movie and Spider-Man 3 get ruin, no loss there.

I would seriously tend to doubt it. There is always a slim potential for more intense sunlight to cause some fading to the artwork over an extended period of time, though I doubt it achieves the necessary strength in this case. As to discs - people often used to leave CDs on the sun visor of their car to little measurable detriment. Couple that with the fact that they are stored in dark colored cases - much the way beverages are packaged in green or brown glass to prevent oxidation - and I doubt there is much to worry about. As long as the temperature and humidity are within reasonable parameters, I believe you should be fine.

You make a lot of sense. I just got paranoid after reading that sunlight could damage Blus, but it's not even "direct" sunlight I suppose.

It may alter the color of the artwork on the case after time. We have photographs that have been in light areas for years and now they have turned yellow.

As long as the discs aren't exposed or don't get heated, it will be fine.
