The release for this is upcoming and a poster mentions the 3D was good. Has anyone else seen this in the theaters? Thanks

Looks like it was mainly 3D for China.

Rock Dog is a 3D chinese computer animated movie all set to release on February 24th 2017.

The article above says it was a 3D animated China film. Sometimes they refer to "3D" as the same as "CGI", computer generated imagery for 3D animation, since the animation takes place in a three dimensional virtual world, even though it might be filmed in 2D. In this case though, 3D is currently popular in China, so it very well could've been in 3D.
In the US, it played only in 2D. If it was in 3D, I would've considered it.

It was stereo 3D, but not in the US.

A 3D version has been passed by the BBFC in the UK, but it remains to be seen whether it will make it onto blu ray...

I don’t know how recently this was but this aired on sky tv in 3D in the uk it seems like it was shown in side by side 3D too bad it wasn’t released on 3D Blu-ray somewhere.
