*looks at thread*
*contemplates existence after reading something stupid* *takes deeeeeeeeeeeeb breath* Let me explain to you why this can’t and will never happen at any point in the future: Universal can’t buy Sony’s assets, people. Universal is owned by Comcast, the biggest media company in the world. Bigger than Disney. They have their own cable and internet services. It would fall into intense anti-trust concerns and would be blocked immediately. Time Warner (WB) is undergoing a buyout as we speak, provided it hasn’t been officially blocked yet. Viacom (Paramount) is already considering merging CBS with Lionsgate. Priorities. Disney can’t do this. If the Fox merger takes place, that’s it for them. The DoJ will not let something like this happen again. Other companies, such as Verizon, Apple, Facebook, Amazon, etc could potentially take it provided they do sell but who the heck is saying they’re that interested? So quit posting rumours and speculations and learn the verisimilitude. |
