He's Walter Bishop. Nothing can ever be simple, except for maybe his candy.

After giving it more thought, I'm not quite as hard on the final season as you and Kenneth Brown, but I will agree that it wasn't the ideal way to end the show. I will say at least it got on ending even if Season 4 could have worked as an ending as well. Still, I'd take 13 not quite as strong episodes with the Bishops over a lot of other shows.

I'm looking forward to the next J.J. Abrams and J.H. Wyman show that's coming to Fox in the Fall.... Almost Human. It looks intriguing and has a pretty good cast.

I noticed your collection is getting pretty anorexic these days. I'm surprised you got rid of so much.

I agree about the back-and-forth with September and Walter. and then when September goes down, it was very anti-climatic.

And while I originally really liked the final scene and Peter's "realization" (at least I think so by the look on his face) of what the picture of the flower meant, another part of me said, "really Walter? gonna just keep f*cking up universes and causes trouble? Just let it be!"

I ended up finishing it tonight. I'm going to have to give it some thought before I give my full opinion. I'll give what's on my mind at the moment though...

Not quite sure how I feel about them "killing" Walter. I know he's technically not dead, but he basically is in our timeline. Kind of cheap how they had it happen though. Obviously any one of them could have gotten shot at any time, but of course it had to happen to September right then.

Overall, I think it did provide an emotional ending, although them teasing the fact that Walter wasn't going by September volunteering to go instead may have taken a bit of that away. Not just because I didn't want Walter to go, but I think it probably would have been better to just have September go.

    What were your overall thoughts?

Oddly enough, I got sick too last week, so I haven't finished it yet. I have two episodes to go. I'm either going to finish it up tonight or Wednesday.

It's shaping up to be a solid finish. We'll see if I'm right soon.

    You finish Fringe yet? Thoughts?

Fair enough, although that didn't bother me. I actually never really thought about it. I guess I was caught up in the rest of season 4's storylines.

That sucks, but I guess it's good to have something good to watch during then.

It pissed me off the most because there was absolutely no need to kill her off. It accomplished nothing. There was no need for an emotional ending to the episode, and it's not like her setting off the explosive did anything either. The leader of the Observers was able to "warp" himself out of there anyways. I still wouldn't have been happy they killed her off, but taking him with her would have at least given it a point. Sure, she accomplished getting the team all back together, but given everything that had happened up until that point, I didn't want her character to be killed.

I honestly don't see how they can write her back in if she's dead, unless the Observers have her and she was just playing dead before the explosion, but even that's all a little much. We'll see, but I would hate to have their first incredibly bad decision leave a bad taste in my mouth this close to the end of the series.

I just finished episode seven this morning, I've been sick all week and when I have energy to watch and pay attention I throw it on.

That pissed me off too. I was like, "what...? what? really? what the f*ck is the point of this?" although I'm almost positive they bring her back because that's what the show will write in. If not, wow. That's some f*cked up writing and ideas.

But, it wouldn't be the first time the show just randomly stopped storylines out of nowhere. I still chuckle everytime I remember in season 4 how Peter goes on his madman murders of the shapeshifters for an episode and then they never once even remotely discuss or explain it again lol.

Not sure if you've watched any of Season 5 of Fringe yet, but after watching the fourth episode, the show pissed me off for what I think is the first time ever.

Actually, it is high praise that I actually wanted to hear the cast and director/writer talk for over an hour and a half after watching the movie. Obviously the movie really clicked for me.

Nice. I hope you enjoy it. You should though. He is one of the highlights of Parks.

That reminds me. I never finished watching the first season of Parks and Recreation. Oops.
