Regarding your comments about frozen grain halos in the UHDs of North By Northwest and The Searchers, I'll say this:

Rio Bravo also has some frozen grain halos, generally in actors standing against the sky in exteriors. Warner in some films has been doing light DNR: far from enough to ruin the transfer (and the vast majority of people won't ever notice the issues), but it causes mild frozen grain halos. They happen when the grain management is a touch too excessive. The Fox UHD of Alien is fantastic, but there are a few fleeting moments of frozen grain due to excessive DNR, though restrict to only a very few select scenes if I remember well.
