And to answer your question, I definitely realized a much better soundstage after raising my center channel. Dialog and pans are smoother and better connected to the on screen action

Ya, that's why I was using the "correct lighting" before, meaning the recommend lumens and such, but I noticed because of the darker color wall behind our tv it was throwing everything way off. Instead I use the Cyron lighting so I can change the color to the same color as the wall. That way it blends right in and looks tons better. It makes sense that they recommend a white wall with the correct white lighting. It blends. This was my way around that.

I had an old, I think it was 20" Zenith TV that had the wood finish to it in college. It weighed a ton for it's size though. It worked for what I needed at the time. In college you don't have a lot of money to begin with. It was a huge deal going from that to a 46" that weighed less and the jumping up to a 50". I could never go smaller for our movie room. Bigger yes, but never smaller.

Hey whatever works dude. There is never anything specific you have to use. There are ones that are recommended or "made" for it, but even the ones I have wouldn't be considered the right specifications by HT enthusuists. I have one with the correct specs but it just doesn't make the black levels look right due to the color of my wall. The ones I am using now are set on Purple thus blending with wall so it works better.

Ha! Sorry dude. That would be annoying. My wife was like that when we lived in the apartment. Now that we have a house with a dedicated HT room she doesn't care. When we are in there were there to watch movies. Sometimes she asks to have the light brighter so she can read while I'm watching something. That doesn't happen to often though so it doesn't bother me. What kind of backlighting did you add?

Yes I did bud. Great work with getting those speakers to hang. Nice sub as well. Any upgrades your wanting to do?
