Hey Nick thanks for the reply. I really don't even understand what everything means but kind of get a jist from reading stuff. From my understanding the PS3 is set to PCM that means the PS3 decodes the track, if it sends in bitstream the Receiver decodes the track? From what i have read the PCM is better and you are still technically getting all the sound, but the light on the receiver just doesn't show it. Also i do have a polk sub too, which again i don't feel like i get much out of. I think its a PSW10. My surrounds are polk M10s. On the overall i don't feel like i have gotten much more umph from going to these speakers from my crappy home theater in a box set up. To me these should blow me away and it just doesn't seem so. Are there any other settings anywhere else that i could mess with? What exactly does all the "full band" or htz settings change?

hey man, new to this deal and also have zero knowledge of all this AV stuff. I noticed you basically have the same set up as me. Onkyo 606 and Monitor 50s. I have ATT uverse and PS3 hooked up by HDMI. These speakers have never blown me away since i got them and i think it may have to do with maybe the settting im using on my receiver. I'm never like "wow" when im watching even an action movie. It almost always says neo 6 cinema, the DTS lights up but doesn't sound like anything special. On the other hand dolby never shows up. Any ideas? What settings do you use? I've read that it might have to do with that "last valid" settings for some of the modes?? Any help would be sweet.
