I believe the OP's intent was for deals directly from the boutique studios/distributors themselves. Sure, mainstream retailers may ultimately sell their releases online, but I thought this was about sales from those boutiques directly.
Not my thread, so the OP can slap me down if I'm misunderstanding.

I definitely agree with the idea of trying to support the smaller independent boutique companies. I’m just not sure that they’d all agree that it has to be direct. Probably a poor example since the official market for their Region B releases is the UK, but 88 always directly steers customers to Amazon UK and elsewhere for their preorders, and their own site sales are never a deal for me because of their shipping prices to the US. Also, most companies don’t have a rep here in the forum, so it’s hard to guess the others’ preferences, but this exchange with KLI has stuck with me ever since. Food for thought.

again, very curious-- does it make any difference what company we buy KINO titles from as far as you tracking the success of a release??

KL Insider-- I want to support these TV movie releases immediately
I've always wondered-- does it make any difference to Kino on whether I buy these from Amazon, Target, Bullmoose, or your actual site?
Does your data of sales take any of these things into consideration?
