And any chance we could get The Young Lions (1958) from 20th Century-Fox (Disney) or should I just get the Twilight Time Blu-ray ASAP?

Sometimes you have to consider the source. If it's someone constantly complaining about every little thing under the sun, then a post like that would definitely come across as a bit aggressive. But like I said, coming from someone who is consistently supportive, it's permissible to allow him to let off a little bit of steam in order to get his point across. The very fact that it was Professor Echo posting something like that gives further credence to the rest of us who think that Technicolor could do a bit better job with the packaging.

I think the capitals are often read as shouting or yelling. I don't have issues with anyone on the forum including the Professor, I know I have written things that I also didn't thing would be taken very negatively, but on rereading them later, they could have been. In this case it seems Technicolor is in charge of shipping from their warehouses, so other than constructive criticism, it may be hard to get a company like that to change their ways.

On the other hand, I have someone I worked with go a bit coo coo. He started sending me nasty messages in all caps. Sometimes demanding I do things without even asking. Being insulting at other times. I had to cut him off until he gets better.
I'm not saying that happened to the Prof in any way though. I'm sure he felt he needed to write that at the time.

Also it is easy to hurt someone's feelings on forums emails or even talking to receptionists , as I found out. It turns out a receptionist thought I was rude and put it in my file. I have no memory of this, nor of what made her think that. I thought that I was being nice.

I had no idea Technicolor was involved with the shipping until KLI mentioned it. Lots of labels are using shippers that aren't part of their company, it seems.

Teen Wolf '85 or The Alamo '60 in the MGM deal? Particularly the Director's Cut/Roadshow version which was released by KOCH in Germany?

Kino Insider, I've been dying to know who owns THE AMSTERDAM KILL w/R.Mitchum in the U.S. It was released by Columbia and on Sony VHS, never on disc in the US. The copyright says Golden Harvest and it says Fortune Star on the UK DVD release.

I have Austrian Mediabooks of all the Death Wish sequels including 5. Sometimes people forget that there are other markets out there. Just because something isn't available in the US doesn't mean it's not available anywhere elsewhere.

Was hoping Scorpion would do a CE of Part 4. Maybe Kino?

Kino Insider

Of the new MGM deal, do any of the 80s 4K releases star a bodybuilder turned actor?

The movie I think you're hinting at would need a new master and approval by a very busy and difficult director. Another label had it planned, I believe, but didn't pan out due to those reasons, and they dropped it.

Agreed. Or at least a new mix with the original sound effects/foleys. I hate the "new" gunshots.

Modesty Blaise had never been released on Blu-ray, Casino Royale (1967) was already released by MGM.

KL Insider-- I want to support these TV movie releases immediately

I've always wondered-- does it make any difference to Kino on whether I buy these from Amazon, Target, Bullmoose, or your actual site?

Does your data of sales take any of these things into consideration?

Having the slip covers is a terrific bonus-- THANK YOU for releasing these titles and I hope you consider more!
You can buy them from whomever you want, they have to buy them from us. Thanks for your continued interest and support.

We don't have any new Fox/Disney deals, and even if we did, I doubt we would re-release The Young Lions.

Kino Insider - To the best of your knowledge, how many - if any - of the 70s films in the MGM deal are new to disc? Many thanks.
