I personally haven't heard of that sort of problem, but then again I don't really scour for them  . The tech should be alot more able to help you out though, and at least the signal integrity.
One fun question though, you're not routing the coax through a UPS or anything like on your end right? That actually caused a problem for me with my traditional cable service dropping connectivity in high traffic.

Just an add on my comment with the surge stop, and the tech pretty much suggested that step which did fix it. I can imagine you still want to keep the coax under surge suppression though  . Just something to test at least.

No, I am not running the coax line through any kind of surge filter. I guess the issue could be a number of things, I just hope that I dont need to re-wire my house with new cable. The install tech kept telling me how sensitive the signal is and if the cable is bent too much it will cause problems.
Who knows what the cable on the inside of my walls looks like?
