edit - because otherwise it just sounds like you're saying that a certain artist has too many fans which, well, doesn't actually make sense.
Tarantino won an Oscar for the screenplay to Pulp Fiction, as well as the Palme D'Or in Cannes. He won a BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Independent Spirit Award for best screenplay, too. He was also nominated for those awards, and the Directors Guild of America Award, for direction, but did not win. He was nominated for an Emmy, too, for an episode of CSI he directed.

I believe only Grindhouse did poorly at the box office. Most of his films were hits, in the early days of his career.

Every one of Tarantino's movies has received fawning reviews, even when the film in question was structurally flawed. In fact, I would dare to say that Tarantino can do no wrong as far as the professional critics are concerned.

Personally, I love Reservoir Dogs, and like Jackie Brown. That's about it. I've hated every other project he's either written or directed. The two films I've mentioned by him are the only ones that seem to have genuine human emotions and responses in them. The rest are self-indulgent, campy, empty paeans to trash culture.
