I was afraid someone would ask me that question.
Answer is, "I don't know".
I sort of like to do things only once, so I have been waiting for not only the "war" to be decided, but 2nd to 3rd generation players. It looks like 2007 is going to be rather definitive in both respects.
Being a purchaser, rather than a renter, I also don't want to buy a bunch of discs in the wrong format. I think we all know at this point, however, which the right format will be.
When I get through with all of the above smokescreen and BS, the real answer is "when my wife will let me."
