Good for you (sincerely), but if there's something I know in this life, is that I'm not getting into another home-video format, ever. 1K is good enough for the biggest sized screens I will ever get. Unless I become a millionaire overnight.
Also, as if economic and practical reasons weren't enough, as someone else pointed out here, I'm already struggling with the fact that there are almost no catalog blu-rays out (of titles I really want: very old movies), compared to what got released during the good years of dvd, so what should I expect of starting with a new format now? absolutely nothing. So that's it.
