Mysterious Island had such a rocky history on home video
Blu Titan, with colour problems galore...even on Laserdisc and the Harryhausen Collection DVD. And none of the previous versions came close to the quality of sound we got on TT's Blu.
The only
*minor* controversy with that release was its isolated soundtrack, which included some sound effects embedded in the final mix...which they just didn't have tracks from the original scoring sessions to eliminate.
Should be no such problems with
Journey to the Center of the Earth though. Even the DVD included its original 4-track stereophonic sound.
