Well, yeah, but if he deliberately avoided them because he was symbolically "punishing" them for the post-Pocahontas years, it helps to have a few real-world details.

please tell me he wasn't scared off by that first Tangled teaser--one can occasionally read the wrong headlines if they're not open-minded enough to investigate everything.
