Samsung, Sony and Sharp make some great sets LCD flat panels. Be careful on some samsung models have a shinier/more reflective screen (71 series I think).
And yes, Fry's is the best place to shop in the Bay Area. What I do is check this scan of the add from the San Jose Mercury news.

Thanks for the response! Where in the bay are you from? I've never been a huge fan of projection TVs.... my dad had a couple a few years back when I still lived at home and I never liked them. I consider myself a TV guy, and I don't think I've ever seen a projection TV in person that didn't have some sort of issue with viewing angles, but to each their own. I'm willing to go either way with LCD or Plasma.
