Do Fox still have them?

I'm surprised they've never released the theatrical versions. Fox must know the large majority of the fan base want the originals over the later edits, and even if they didn't they must know they would want them as well. Most fans would buy both, but I'm still waiting for the PROPER versions. Annoyingly I only have Empire on DVD (2-disc with both cuts) and none of the others. I have Jedi on VHS but my VCR won't work with the new telly.

I did notice they are releasing Star Wars trilogies on DVD again. Anyone know if they're just the Lucas re-edits, the original theatrical cuts, or both? Can't seem to find out what they are.

Not to seem arsey, mate. But I am not sure where you are coming from. People go on about being 'purists' and wanting to watch films the way they are intended to be seen (hence why we're all big fans of blu ray, I suspect), but people still don't want to watch Star Wars the way it's creator wishes them to be seen.

It's not like the studio itself fiddled around and altered the films, it's Lucas' intention that it be seen that way, for better or worse.
