Hate to be a pessimist, but I would say it's quite possible WB will f*ck up The Dark Knight BD (due December 9, 2008). Their track record ain't so good. So while the preview might look great in HD...just wait til the entire film goes through post (the imax preview may, or may not, have been finished). Then wait til they possibly DNR it, and then encode it (possibly with low bit rate and banding - see 10,000BC).
In short, what I am saying is that what you see in the preview on this Batman Begins disc may not be indicative of the quality of the eventual BD release. It's the old, "hey, how come this looks better in the trailer" scenario...
I'm hoping for the best, but Warner has me worried. Something ain't right over there...
