I want the Z95B. But I really want Panasonic to resolve the Dolby Vision issues. Sounds like it's something that could be fixed with a simple firmware update. Just a matter of whether or not they do.

According to Vincent in his review, it seems to have some posterization issues in menus and a couple scenes of real world content. Says it doesn't show up in HDR10, however.

Samsung is including us in their very 1st Allocation/Shipment of the upcoming Flagship Samsung MRN115MR95FXZA 115″ RGB MICRO LED TV.
If all goes as scheduled we'll have one setup in our main A/V Showroom the week of October 5th.

Apologies if this question has already been answered before or if it's a bit off-topic but I thought this would be a good thread to ask.
When people talk about a TVs "image processing" would that also refer to the highest possible quality content being displayed such as a 4K UHD disc or only the upscaling and handling of lower quality/lower resolution content?
Say if I had the current top-tier Samsung, LG, Sony, Panasonic OLED models all lined up (S95F, G5, B8 MK II, Z95B) and put in a 4K UHD disc all being played from a UB9000 with all the TVs set to their most accurate picture preset would there be much difference in how the image was rendered between the four different TVs?

It covers everything, yes, as the image still needs to go thru a video processor before it ends up being displayed on the panel. They've all got their own special sauce, their own foibles. Sony do something to the micro-contrast on their sets, it's why single-pixel test patterns don't display properly. That you'd need a single-pixel test pattern to see it would certainly suggest that the differences wouldn't be visible in real-world content if everything were equal, but it's a loaded question as manufacturers don't want everything to be equal. Even if all four were using the exact same panel they'd be tweaking it differently, with different approaches to ABL, ASBL, black floor, peak brightness, full field brightness, everything.
