Roughly 6 episodes per disc, easy peasy. Nothing abnormal for Warner's sets so I expect Fernsehjuwelen pulling it off in a similar fashion. Will they be a bit bit-starved? Sure. Personally, I don't love it as I feel it tends to look a bit "neutered"; perfectly watchable but with considerable room for improvement. Fernsehjuwelen doesn't exactly have the best track record so I expect it to be even worse than WB's handling of their releases.

I wonder how they are going to keep each season separate with 27 blu rays based on the following.

Season 1 (13 episodes no 2-hour episodes)
Season 2 (22 episodes or 23 if they divide the 2-hour episode included in Season 2)
Season 3 (23 episodes no 2-hour episodes)
Season 4 (21 episodes or 22 if they divide the 2-hour season premiere)
Season 5 (24 episodes no 2-hour episodes)
Season 6 (22 episodes no 2-hour episodes)
Season 7 (16 episodes no 2-hour episodes)
Season 8 (13 episodes no 2-hour episodes)

By cramming 7 episodes onto 1 disc for seasons 1 and 8 maybe or they'll let the end of one season share disc with the next season? Either way, it's all pure speculation at this point.

Hopefully a member here decides to get Fernsehjuwelen's Simon & Simon Blu-ray boxset and posts a mini-review/review of it. I hope though that Universal or Shout announce a US release.

I'd forgot what the price is for the German set, so looked at the pre-order listing page again recently. Cheaper than Plaion's Magnum set (both shows lasted eight seasons. If you count the feature-length episodes as one episode, there were slightly more episodes of Magnum than Simon & Simon).

United Kingdom Release date delay

The release date has been delayed to November 25th. I'm only hoping that this is due to the inclusion of the 1995 reunion TV movie Simon & Simon: In Trouble Again.

Have checked the database here and there's no listing in it yet for the German Blu-ray release.

Below is the link to the pre-order listing page on Fernsehjuwelen's website, followed by the front cover artwork (when the boxset comes out, hopefully someone will post artwork for the various parts of the boxset):

https://fernsehjuwelen.de/Simon-Simo...u-rays/6425096

[Show spoiler]

Note: The Fernsehjuwelen website page link and front cover artwork was previously posted on here by fellow member "Alfred E. Neumann" in the DVD Movies thread for Simon & Simon.
