I'm looking to replace my Onkyo TX-SR502 with a receiver with HDMI connections. I'm looking to upgrade my receiver so I can play Blu-Rays in Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Upscaling analog signals to 1080p isn't important to me because I rarely watch a non-HD broadcast or a DVD. I don't play video games either. My home theater is in a townhouse condo and I only have the space/need for 5 speakers and a sub. I've been looking at the Onkyo 507 and 607 as well as the Yamaha 465 and 565. Which one would you recommend and why? My current system is:
TV: Sony KP-51WS500 Receiver: Onkyo TX-SR502 BD player: Samsung BDP-1500 Speakers: Polk RM6200 Subwoofer: Polk PSW250 Thanks in advance for your help! |
