Default DVD Collection Demoted and Removed?

Does anyone still display their dvd collection in your living room with blurays? My living room was full with over 6 racks(250pr) of dvds. I decided that they didn't deserve the space anymore and now they are in spare room. I just hit 1 full rack of 300 blurays. I do however display my 200 concert dvds in a rack besides them. They need to be out.

Most of my dvd's are gone, I have kept a few that I am doubtful of a blu release, and a few concert ones. I have not watched any of my standard dvd's since going blu, so thought I would get rid of them to make room.

I only have 30 or so DVDs left. They're in a separate spot underneath my TV. The only DVDs I'd display with my blu-rays are my Les Miserables 10th anniversary DVD and my Criterion Collection Brazil DVD.

I thought about selling them but then I remembered how much I paid. Too much to let them go for next to nothing. I do however have about 120 titles that I double dipped on and went blu. I may do something with them or any others titles that I double dip on. You more than demoted your collection. DVD's, be very afraid!

i've sold alot of my dvd's, and their space in racks has been greatly reduced. But i still display all my tv dvd's and my concert dvd's.

Most of the dvd's i've sold have been at a very low price. Obviously i've taken a huge loss on that collection. i figure blu-ray will be the last physical medium.

Yeah I know, but I tend to get a little more for trade in which helps when upgrading some titles to blu.

I had ove 1500 dvds so I cant just get rid of them. I have4 big racks from Ikea and as I swap one over to Blu I either sell or trade it in.
There are several titles that will not make the port over anytime soon if at all due to it being out of print or alot of my horror seems to be dvd only at this point so no I keep my collection together in my office separated, but together

Yeah, I don't want to take a huge loss selling them all. I don't think I would sell ANY that I don't have on bluray. It's just not worth it and besides, dvd is not too bad in a good upconverter. Worth more than a few bucks.

What trade shops are well knon and recommended by you guys? How much you get in trade for a dvd?

Actually I don't have any Blu's yet or player for that matter So I'll take all your discarded DVD's if no one else wants them.

Since I only have about 30 dvd's and 10 blu's, they are all together. I have more tv shows on dvd (The Office, Scrubs, Futurama, etc) than regular dvd's and those take up most of the space.

My Blus are out and since they don't fill up the small rack I have for them, the DVDs I want on Blu are out there with them. The rest of the DVDs are not on display, but in a cabinet in another room.

I moved it.... not because I'm Anti-DVD (have 1,200 of them, and still buy them) but because this has nothing to do with a particular Blu-ray Release, whether it be release date, features, cover, etc.....

I get rid of my DVD's as soon as I get them on Blu I give the DVD version to my sister-in-law. I have about 250 left on the bottom of my Blu Ray shelves

It was the wrong forum I have more DVDs than blu-rays so DVDs are primarily displayed. Some movies will never look good regardless of the format so they will remain on DVD for me

I sold most of my DVDs, I have no use for them anymore. They're obsolete, especially at the solid pace that we have the studios releasing films on Blu-ray. Blu-ray is the present and future, DVD is the past.
