Firstly, I hope everyone is having an awesome 2009 so far. Now, on to my question: I am planning on replacing my projector with a 1080p sometime this year. I've been with my 720p projector for 5 years this April and it's time to move up to a full 1080p projector, to get the most out of my BD collection.
I'm looking for something $2,500 and under. A projector that's supports 24fps and has at least 1600 lumens (but, I can make exceptions). I was looking at a few projectors: Panasonic PT-E3000U, InFocus X10, Optoma HD806, Sanyo PLV-Z700, Sanyo PLV-Z3000, and the Epson 6100. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! ![]() |

Isn't it called the Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 6500UB? but you should know you just ordered it right? I am eager to read your first hand review about that new projector. I agree that with the rebate if I were him I'd buy that projector for $2700 as it seems to be one of the most powerful projectors at a low price compared to others it outperforms!

Hey There. Other than the FI issues that the "Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 6500UB" has, it's an awesome projector. This is my first projector upgrading from a 60" sony SXRD and all i can say is wow! What a difference it makes watching Blu on it. It looks way better than going to the movies. I just built\transformed my gameroom into a Home Theatre with Light control & 110" screen which took me about 6 months to build and im still working on it till this day. I don't really have a review but as soon as I can finish my setup and mount it on the cieling, I'll try to post. It's on a stand right now. I think with that rebate it's an awesome purchase in the long run. Thanks |

I am also thinking of upgrading my 720p Panasonic PT-AE900U, front runner is still the Panasonic PT-AE3000U, for one because I have a Panasonic blu-ray player (DMP-BD55) so I think they would nicely match up, and I also like the picture and possibilities to set up my current PJ, so I'm used to the interface.
I also find the reviews/comparisons/articles on the following web sites helpful: http://www.projectorreviews.com/Best...ardwinners.php and http://www.projectorcentral.com |
