My dad's Samsung LED is going to be delivered to Sears today, and I'm going to help him pick it up & start to set it up. I had Conns just deliver & set mine up, so I'm not really sure if there any precautions I need to be aware of.
I remember a couple of buddies who got new TVs (& they may have been plasmas though), and they mentioned something about not turning the box a certain way or it could affect the TV. Is this true? I'm aware of using HDMI, we got a HD receiver with DirectTV...any tips as far as receiver/TV settings? He has no surround sound system yet to worry about hooking up though. Thanks in advance! |

Pretty sure the danger of laying a box flat only applies to Plasmas. I layed my Samsung LED flat from the trip from Sears to the house (about 10 minutes) and it's fine. I remember seeing the box had instructions to stay upright, but I don't see why it would be an issue with LED or LCD in the very short term.
