Facepalm/IBTL pictures - Blu-ray Forum

Just curious if this counts as threadcrapping, because imo, it's getting really old and tiresome to stumble into threads where someone has felt the need to insert a large facepalm or IBTL picture. Yes it's easy to just move along to the next post and ignore them, but I was curious as to some of the mods' takes on this and/or if this reprimandable since these pictures (namely facepalm) seem to be popping up in greater frequency.

IMHO...

Facepalm pic by itself = threadcrap
Facepalm pic + topic reply = OK
HUGE Facepalm pic that forces horizontal scroll, regardless of topic reply inclusion = LAME

IBTL in any capacity is just stupid.

But seriously, most of the time the pics are posted in threads that are completely idiotic, and are going to be locked anyways. I don't really see a problem with it, in those threads. Also, if a pic is posted with a reply, also no problem.

It also applies to idiotic threads i.e. "What 2 movie characters would you never have expected to have sex?". That thread got locked quickly, therefore you could post IBTL (in before the lock).

the most common one is the Indiana Jones getting under the stone door.

I agree, they contribute nothing and lead the way for more and useless pictures.

I've used an IBTL .gif once in my entire internet forum career. Once was enough. Funny that I totally noticed a preponderance of facepalm pics recently too...soooo played out. Almost as much as posting "Waambulance."

I have to admit, I LOVE the facepalm pictures. I literally laugh when I see them.

The "IBTL" posts/pictures are bad, though.
