Default gallery pictures

Greetings,

I was browsing the galleries today which i do frequently because i enjoy viewing what people have for systems and their setups regardless of budget, equipment and location(room). What i am finding is that some people like to post pics of a couple screen shots with no equipment or setup involved, or just equipment pics from the manufacturer and even just pics of cartoons and such....I am just speaking for myself but i think this is a disservice to the people that spend the time to post pics of their setups and to the gallery itself, not to mention the waste of space and resource. If you people want to post irrelevant pics, go use photo bucket, yahoo, google or any other place for non related audio setups and leave this gallery for people that spend the time and have something related to show. After all, this is supposed to be a home theater gallery not a personal photo gallery. (collection part not included in this rant)

My rant is done!.......

I kind of, semi-agree, to an extent, without getting belligerent.

Manufacturer photos, cartoon photos etc are not allowed, we only allow real photos of your own equipment taken with a camera.

Greetings,

In no way was i being belligerent. Just saying if you want to post something other than your setup or collection, go somewhere else and do it...Plain, simple and straightforward..

Pictures of cartoons and manufacturers pics may not be allowed but they are in there unfortunately...

I think that there are more pics of 'real' equipment then of pics of cartoons and what not.

If you find one PM me or another mod. I have gone through every single gallery before deleting bad comments, deleting photos, etc. and it is tiring. I try to take care of them now as I see them.

Thanks

Of course, all relevant/related photos are allowed, such as: your collection, your HT room, related rooms/stuff, yourself/family, pets, your pimped out car etc etc as long as it's your photos taken with a camera.

The idea is to show how you have set up your HT and how you live. Personally I really enjoy to see different custom made solutions/HT rooms/living rooms, not only the HT equipment

Greetings,

I never said that there was more pics of cartoons and such than equipment.
I said it was a disservice and a waste of resources..They just shouldn't be there. period..

As to the mods.....This was in noway an attack at your abilities to keep things in order.. I think you guys do a great job on this site for everything..
This was more to the people who post them to think about what this gallery is supposed to used for before posting..
