Default some Blu-ray dvds are choppy with no sound

Hey, I need some serious help. I have a vizio vx32l tv with a 60 gb ps3. I don't know why, but some blu-ray dvds work and some don't. Everything works until I press "play movie" and it starts. It works for like 5 seconds or so and then it gets choppy and there is no sound. I really hope this is something I can fix with the settings, because I am broke, and this is my second ps3. I'm beginning to lose faith in this system. Can someone help?

Assuming the firmware is up-to-date, I would say it's your laser......

I have had three PS3s crap out on me, and two of those had less than 100 hours on them...... Many will disagree, but I find them to be pretty unreliable..... I plan on buying a new stand-alone, but if that's not an option for you, is your PS3 still under warranty?

If not, someone will chime in with the link for the "Trouble-shooting and DIY Fixes" I think you can take it apart and fix it yourself.... Good luck....
