Default Broken choppy sound with DMP-BD55K

Hello all,

I'm having an audio problem on my Panasonic DMP-BD55K with some Blu-ray titles and all DVD titles. For example, The BBC High Definition Natural History Collection, all of the Planet Earth discs play fine. However, Wild China, Ganges and Galapagos have broken choppy audio to them. The same for all standard definition DVD discs. They have broken choppy audio to all of them. All of my other Blu-ray discs play fine except the titles mentioned above.

I just updated to firmware 1.6 and the problem still exists. I've searched everywhere for a solution and came up empty. Does anyone here have any ideas as to what is causing this?

My simple setup:
Samsung 5 Series 40"
Panasonic DMP-BD55K
Both connected via HDMI
