Really need your guys help! - Blu-ray Forum

Ok, I all of a sudden started getting the error code 80031600. This has happened before but it always started working again within a half hour or so. This time though it was about a day I couldn't get signed in. So I went on the web and followed the instruction to be ablt to get signed back in with my account.

Now I was able to get signed in again however i used my e-mail and password but it gave me access to a different account I had made a while back. This wouldn't be a problem but now I have lost all of my friends list and my trophies . I checked my e-mail to see if I still had my info in there from when I signed up and I do have an e-mail for my original username that I had but it gives me no password.

Does anyone kind of understand what I'm saying here, lol , sorry I know it's confusing. Basically I need to get back into my original account, how can I do that. Like all of my music and videos are still there so I know my account should still be there. Any help right now would be greatly appreciated because I'm totally lost, thanks.

You must have made two different acounts. It will be very tough to find out what your old id's password is without the proper email address. I suggest you trying every email address and password combintation you can think of, if that fails, call Sony. The thing is though, they wont be able to provide you with a temporary password if you cant provide them with at least the email address the name is actached to. The key is the email address, even if its a closed email, they should be able to provide you with a temp as long as you know the email address. Good luck!

thanks man I will definately call Sony. I think I know what has happened. I have been racking my brain the last couplde of nights. Ok I started off with my original user id. Than down the road I created a new user name on the same account. So I had two users on my ps3. When I created the second user name. I used the same e-mail adress. (Is that possible to use the same e-mail for two seperate users?) Therfore it is recognizing my second username instead of my first.

That is defiantely what has happened, unless I used a different e-mail when I first signed up and just can't remeber it. I will update this after I talk to Sony, again thanks for your help.

Ya. not much you can do if you don't know your email address.

If you know your PSN ID you might be able to google it and get lucky and find it somewhere on the web if you posted stuff on forums etc. Shot in the dark but you never know. Good luck!
