Typical IGN.

The press release that came over the wire for this was not so narrow-minded in its views. It acknowledged that the PS3 was not factored into the equation (once again). It also noted that Blu-ray movies are still out-selling HD-DVD movies 2-1.

Blu will have a banner Q3, as is evident from the Panny BD10A, Sony S300 and PS3 players FLYING off shelves right now. Maybe then HD-DVD will quit with the FUD. From an objective point of view, IGN did a terrible treatment with this article.

Default skewed stats

lets not forget too that the article had very SKEWED stats: it said that the GROWTH of sales (not total sales) in Q2 from Q1 was higher for HD-DVD than Blu-ray...well OF COURSE THEIR GROWTH OF SALES WILL BE HIGHER IF THEY START IN Q1 WITH NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! Blu-ray starts in Q1 with a MUCH higher number, so must see a huge increase to equal the % GROWTH of HD-DVD (ie. HD-DVD goes from 400,000 to 600,000, so now blu-ray must go from 1,000,000 to 1,500,000)...even though they're outselling 2:1 or 3:1. the article just searched for a stat (% growth) that HD-DVD led on and wrote on it...pathetic
