Default Difference btw the expensive and cheap HDMI cables?

Okay i bought a cheap hdmi cable for like 15 bucks.

But then at bestbuy, i see hdmi cables for 90 bucks. whats the difference?

which one would i need to be able to watch blu ray movies in the best quality?

Help please.

There are countless threads around here explaining why cable cost does not equal cable/signal quality. There's even a sticky in the Home Theater GD forum.

If you are getting a picture without signal loss, sparklies, pixellation or dropouts, then your cable is doing what it was designed to do. Spending 10X as much will not give you a better picture.

The HDMI leads are not usually a problem. The main risk area is the HDMI socket which is an expensive repair if damaged.
Use the lightest lead or one with a right angled connector because the heavier (usually more expensive) leads give a larger radius out of your TV which is very vulnerable.
