"Must Have" Top 10 BD's for a beginner's collection - Blu-ray Forum

I'm just starting my BluRay experience and joined the forum today. I've enjoyed going through the many treads posted and learning from your experiences! To help us "newbees" with starting our initial purchases would you please list your top BD's , the "Must Haves", with the best Pic & Sound. Thanks to all for your postings. -jaygeo1-

Casino Royale, The Departed, The Prestige, Apocalypto, Black Hawk Down, Planet Earth, Layer Cake, and Lord of War are titles I was very happy with. These are also movies I enjoyed, I didn't just get them because they would look and/or sound good. I've heard many people say Crank is great for PQ, but I think the movie is atrocious.

Casino Royale, POTC 1&2, Crank, Departed, The Patriot, The Transporter, Black Hawk Down, Apocalypto, Flags of our Fathers.

I found these to have the best PQ. It also depends if you like any of these movies. Some are great and some are not to great.

great choices above ^^ i would also add the wild, flyboys, underworld, transporter 2. If i think of anymore i will add them

I thin k I am only up to 12 so far, but Casino Royale, Remastered Fifth Element, and Planet Earth are amazing.

The two POTC films, Open Season, The Covenant, Mission Impossible 3, Hellboy, Fifth Element remastered, Flyboys, as well as nhaase's picks.
