Default Your Top 5 TV Sitcoms...?

Ok now this should be interesting to see where this goes. I would have done a poll on this but there are far too many and Im sure someones fav will get missed out, so for now lets just see what you all laugh at....

I'll start

1. The Simpsons - Purely for its longevity and ability to still churn out great episodes , and I love looking for all the movie references plus Homer is the funniest guy on earth.

2. Fawlty Towers - John Cleese produced only 12 episodes of this classic British farce and each one is a gem. (just dont mention the war !)

3. The Office (UK) - The Originality of its "Mocumentary" style might have been done before , but never better. In David Brent , Ricky Gervais has created one of comedys greatest characters.

4. Frasier - To me this is one of the funniest shows to come from the states , its mix of farce and slapstick are spot on.

5.Only Fools and Horses - Another UK show and one of the best ever written.
Great performances from a stella cast and you can never get tired of revisiting this classic series.

I almost did this thread a couple of days ago. In no order...

1. Spin City
2. Becker
3. Seinfeld
4. King of Queens
5. Cheers

Runner Up - Roseanne. I know a lot of people probably hate her but the show had a long run and had some great humor.

If I had to pick only five favorites:

Andy Griffith -- Number 1 of all time
Mash
Bob Newhart
Friends
All in the Family

I don't think that the following are sitcoms -- more pure comedy, but I can't leave them out as they are among the greatest ever:
The Honeymooners
I Love Lucy
Simpsons
Addams Family

Absofrickin'lutely!!! The Andy Griffith Show is the greatest TV show ever! I have the entire collection on dvd and never get tired of watching them!

All in Family is an amazing series! Way ahead of it's time in terms of dealing with social issues that, for back in the early 70's, you just did not see on television!

Beyond these 2, here are my other 3....

The Cosby Show
The Jeffersons
I Love Lucy

It would be hard to pick out my top 5, but the greatest comedy era was the 60's. Some of the shows I remember from that decade are:

Addam's Family
F Troop
Get Smart
Beverly Hillbillies
Gilligan's Island
Leave It to Beaver
Brady Bunch
Bewitched
I Dream of Jeannie
The Munsters
Andy Griffith
Hogan's Heroes
My Three Sons
Rowan and Martin's Laugh In
Mr. Ed
Dick Van Dyke
Car 54 Where Are You?
My Mother the Car
Gomer Pyle
My Favorite Martian
McHale's Navy
Green Acres

Difficult question, in no particular order:
Seinfeld
The Office (US Version)
Arrested Development
Cosby Show
Friends - I put this on the list because I really enjoyed it when it was on TV, but this is a show I never watch anymore in syndication. I watch the other shows quite often, particularly The Office and Seinfeld. Not sure why Friends hasn't aged well for me.

Honorable Mention: Scrubs, Family Guy, Curb Your Enthusiasm, That 70s Show (excluding final season), Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother

3. Saved By the Bell (high school years)
4. Good Times
5. Three's Company

Man there are some great shows over the years and I could list more! Got Em!!
