Default Blu-Ray Snares the top 5 (then top 6) for Amazon's Bestseller in DVDs!

Had to make this thread since I believe Blu-Camp deserves this! Blu bested the HD-DVD camp by taking the top 5 spots on the Bestsellers in DVD on Amazon!

HD-DVD camp was all over themselves when HD-DVD took the top 4 positions and now blu took the top 5!, and still going! There are 11 blu-rays in the top 25!

Great Job Blu-Ray! Kudos Amazon!

Default 40 out of 100 in Amazon's top 100 DVDs

BOGO or not, 40 out of the top 100 DVDs/HD DVDs/BDs ain't bad!

awesome! i gotta admit, i was impressed that the dudsters were able to pull 1-4 on amazon last week, but this is just too funny that blu-ray has already pulled 1-5. they had a good talking point for about 5 days.

If there was a top 0, then Blu-Ray will take it as well...

Now, the 8 million PS3 owners need to be aware of this sale so they can start purchasing their favorite movies

Congratulation to Blu-Ray! Again!

I wouldn't be surprised the 1 day Blu-Ray top 4 outsell their 5 days worth of sale LOL.

As of right now, HD-DVD holds 5 spots in the top 100:

44. Planet Earth
72. Blade Runner
77. Serenity
88. The Mummy
98. Hot Fuzz

hahahahahahahaha

Blu-ray has 37 titles in the top 100, with the rest belonging to DVD.

You can find the accurate Amazon Blu-ray sales ranks right here at Blu-ray.com.

Well aware, an even better site to look at is amazon itself:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers...1?ie=UTF8&pg=1

I was just noting that eproductwars.com doesn't reflect how Amazon has been for the past few hours.

Will someone please tell me why *anyone* still goes to eproductwars? The charts that currently are moved to HDD have been superior in every way for a very long time:

Nothing quite like looking at their vs. chart and seeing hd_dvd_blu-ray_down_arrow.gif next to most of the HD DVD's. Especially Planet Earth.

I guess this pretty much thwarts last weeks HD-DVD fanboy victory cry.

However, my instinct tells me this will never see the light of day on EngadgetHD, unlike HD-DVD's brief stint with the top.

I think the REAL telling is in the graphs at eproduct. Be sure to change them to "last 30 days."

Even with the HD DVD BOGO in full swing, Blu was slowly climbing (minus the BOGO), while HD DVD had a huge surge and was slowly petering out. Even without the Blu BOGO, we probably would have caught up in the next week or so, just by looking at the graphs (and assuming the current trends would continue).

The other important thing to remember, is that the HD DVD BOGO is STILL ON, and Blu is still trouncing them. BOGO vs. BOGO - a very fair playing field. And if an HD DVD fanboy points out that they are in the second week, with no new titles, remind them that many of the current titles on the Blu BOGO have already been on BOGO before (either there, or elsewhere). I think there are 4 on there that I may get, as I've gotten everything else I wanted.

I would be VERY suprised, even with the Amazon BOGO and BB B2G1, if HD DVD took the last week. While those numbers are still up in the air, imagine how proud we'll be when we win that last week, against those "stellar amazon rankings." It will hopefully put an end to everyone thinking that the amazon numbers are the end-all-be-all.

Tit for tat, easy as that

It's when no sales are on that you see the winner, the clear consumer's choice: and that is blu-ray, consistently.
