Amazon Shipping - Blu-ray Forum

I apologise if this isn't the right section to post this and if it's been discussed before.

I've got a question about various Amazon shipping prices. I was recently looking at ordering a box set from the UK and it was just over 3 GBP to ship to Canada which is about 5 CAD. I was also looking at ordering the Hangover Steelbook from .de and they want 14 EUR for shipping which is about 22 CAD. Does anyone know why there would be such difference? Is shipping in Germany that much more expensive?

In short, yes (at least internationally). Not sure why though.
