Bought Target Monsters Vs Aliens (Day 1) Opened Now and... WHAT?

I bought the Target Monsters Vs Aliens on Day 1, the Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack.

I put it away for my daughters X-Mas gift... they open it X-Mas Day and we throw it in this weekend. And...

WHAT? DVD-ROM... Weird... I look at the other disk DVD-ROM... WHAT! NO...

I bought this on 09/29/2009... is Target still going to give me a replacement...

Well... the answer... YES. I went today and they let me replace it.

Weird! Has this ever happened to anyone? I would have been pissed if I was out of luck and was stuck with two DVD copies in a Blu-Ray case.

I'm constantly amazed at the number of threads (and replies) regarding things like this (not to say I don't believe it)

I have 150 or so Blu-rays now, and 1,200 DVDs and have NEVER had a disc that wouldn't play (defect etc) or opened one without a disc in it..... or got the wrong disc...... etc.

Apparently it happens though, and as a percentage, maybe I'm just "Lucky"

I don't know that I ever heard of this happening to anyone I know either....

It's happened to me once with one of my seasons of Lost. I had two disc 1's of the series and it had been months since I purchased it. BestBuy let me trade it out.

Oh I agree... I have maybe 55 Blu-Ray movies and have had 100's of DVD's over the years... this has never happened to me before.

But how long has there been Blu-Ray/DVD combos... it is bound to happen. Especially if quality-assurance is kind of slacking at the Blu-Ray/DVD combo factory...

That's totally weird. I purchased whichever standard release they were selling at Best Buy within a day or two of its release, and did not have this experience. I have also never seen anything like this in my short time of collecting movies. All my Blu-rays have been perfect and have always come with 100% of what they're supposed to.

I've really only had two "complaints" per se about the arrival of any Blu-ray. One was for T2 Skynet Edition, when the sleeve was so misaligned within the plastic jacket that the security label was stuck to it, which in the end made it so my jacket was "ruined" (although that's a dramatic term, but in my OCD world it's ruined) when I finally — and very carefully — removed the label. The other was when my Speed Racer multi-disc case had a broken center tab for securing a disc, for which I received a prompt replacement.

It's happened to me before. I got 2 disc 5's from a season box set. Rare but it does happen.
