Yes, it's normal, depending on your BD player. I use a PS3 on mine and I don't get the autodetect clicks on the chapters but I do get them on menus, title screens, FBI warnings, trailers, special features, etc. because that stuff isn't the same format always (quite often). What I imagine is happening with your BD player is that it's cutting off the audio from the player when you jump chapters or fast-forward so your receiver is going "WTF?" As far as not doing it before, it may have been, you're just noticing it now or it could be something as simple as change made when you did a firmware upsate on the BD player.

The other question to ask is does your BD automatically select the best uncompressed audio or do you have to change the output settings on the machine to do that? I had to change the settings in the PS3 to make it spit out the audio in it's uncompressed format.

that is normal for the Onkyo receivers or pre-pro's. i use to own the 805 receiver now i own the 5507 pre-pro and they all click. that relay is a common component in onkyo receivers or pre-amps and it happens when there is a change in the audio stream mostly form lossy to lossless or shifts therein. so again, it is quite normal.
