Germany ** WHEN WOMEN HAD TAILS blu review? **

I was wondering if anyone had a copy of the WHEN WOMEN HAD TAILS blu ray released in Germany recently and wouldn't mind posting a review with some screen captures. Here is the link to amazon.de:

Als die Frauen noch Schwänze hatten

PS: would it be that difficult to just make those rating stamps stickers on the front covers? Do Germans really believe people are that stupid that you need a huge rating logo on the front to know if it's naughty or nice for the kids? Then again, it's not so much the people as it is the politicians...

Blu-ray.com staff reviewers do not have an affiliation with most European distributors outside of the UK and perhaps France. The few German releases we have reviewed were no doubt acquired personally by the staff reviewer, so you would have to hope that this thread encourages one of them to do so. However, given the reviews on Amazon Germany, I doubt many of our reviewers would want to import it.

Alternatively, you might wish to ask the forum members in this thread if any of them have gotten this release.

It's just that he rarely, if ever, reviews German-released BDs, and if he received German review copies, I'm certain he would be obligated to review them for the site, so it seems like he would have to get this one out-of-pocket. More to the point, this specific release doesn't even have English subs, apparently. But you never know, I guess if enough people wanted it...

I haven't found any screenshots. But let me tell you what I've heard from other users on a few german boards. The movie is cut, only 1080i, picture and sound are worse than VHS. I haven't found one person who has got anything better to say about this Blu-Ray. I hope I was able to help.

yeah, that's what I was thinking. It was a little hard to decipher the google translation of the amazon.de reviews, but I got the overall impression that the only thing good about this blu ray is the cover art (and even that is messed up by the german rating logo!).

Even so, I was hoping someone from amazon.de may have been a forum member and was willing to talk a little more about it, as well as put up some screen caps just to see for myself.

PS: speak of disappointing picture quality, I just got THE KILLER for $10 (what the hell, cheap enough) and while there isn't any grain and overall it is a very good upconverted dvd, (1) not only is it not blu-ray quality but (2) the 1080 interlacing makes it even worse. If Dragon Dynasty at least put it out 1080 progressive, it wouldn't have been too bad for $10.00... ah well....
