Default Band of Brothers US run time and UK runtime

Today I just got Band of Brothers on bluray. I ordered this product from the UK around the 11th of this month. I saw that the run time is 624min. I compared this to the US copy and the run time was 705min. Is the copy I just bought misssing some episodes or is just that the 80 minutes documentry was added to the US runtime.

Yeah there is NO difference between the US and UK releases, it's probably a missprint, or an old running time with PAL/NTSC difference, or something.

Are you guys totally sure there is no difference in the content? I was looking at the same thing today, noting that the UK version will play in US machines...but then I started seeing wacky running times on Amazon UK and US. It didn't jive.

Also, the UK version being played in the US has no affect on PAL vs. NTSC, does it?

I get the UK version as one of it mention even longer running time than US version, but when I receive the package, the running time print is different, I ask around and everyone give me both US and UK is same running time, the timing is totally miss-print in the box set.

UK is Region FREE. Any player can play. I not sure about PAL or NTSC as Asian all TV / Player is support PAL & NTSC, so I never bother about it.

No, they're the exact same. The reason why there's a shorter running time on the UK version is because time runs slower in the UK.

*Never* go by what Amazon say on their product information, in most cases they are incorrect. HD isn't PAL or NTSC so doesn't play into this.

Old thread, and it seems a conclusion has been reached on this, but yes, the runtime difference is from the documentary on disc 6. If you add the times up on each of the first 5 discs (UK version) you get 630 minutes, and then the 78 minute documentary brings it to 708.

I just checked it out (my copy came in the mail about 10 minutes ago) and that seems to be the issue. Popped the first disc in, and damn, this is one beautiful-looking blu.

I've got the UK version and I've been watching it for the first time over the last few days. I've seen 1-8 so far, and the A/V and the show itself are just amazing! I'll be finishing up 9 and 10 tonight.

Every BD release of Band of Brothers is identical worldwide with the exception of the now OOP Japanese version.
