Default Pre-out link to an amplifier

My STR-DB940 has pre-outs. I would like to link it to an amplifier from Sony. Which one would you recommend? Older models are also welcome. I might be lucky to find one in mint condition on ebay.

I would recommend you broaden your search for amplifiers to include other manufacturers than just Sony. You can find reasonably priced amps from the likes of Rotel, Adcom, B&K, and Parasound on Ebay or Audiogon.

Agreed. The OP should also look at Emotiva.

You're right, they don't. A shame really for the OP as he's obviously a huge Sony fan.

You may also want to post what kind of power you need or what speakers you will be powering. This will help narrow the choices.

I'm not sure, I did a quick search for fun. It looks okay though? I remember seeing one on ebay at one point.

You must be as old as I am. That Sony amp was discontinued in 1824.

I know right, 1824, he's silly and that's why we love him!
