As a kid, I had heard that the turning of amplifiers, receivers on and off is what gives them a great deal of wear and tear, I have no facts behind this, but it is still something I do. My Onkyo TX-SR605 is always on, unless I go out of town. My Velodyne V-1012 sub is always on. Good or bad? Is this using a lot of wasted energy, or negligible?
