As the title states - I need help building a 5.1 system. I currently have a Onkyo 606. I had it hooked up to a 5.1 Cerwin Vega setup that stayed at the townhouse (they were in the wall). So I am finally settled in and now am in need to get my 5.1 back up and running. I am not sure how much I can really spend so a few options won't hurt (under $1000). I was looking at this set in amazon
http://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-SKSHT750...9885325&sr=1-5 I realize speakers in a box is not the best option but would it be better to start off with a 3.1 system and eventually add the rears? I know I will not be getting a new receiver anytime soon so I dont want to get speakers that need anything more out of the receiver than what a 606 can give. Thanks for any suggestions. |
